exploring the world since 2001A snowy day out in the Peak District
We took a day out to drive across the Peak District National Park on a cold and snowy morning, then took a lovely walk across the snow-covered farmland of Beeley, before having lunch with Mike and Louise in a cosy pub. It was worth the slightly scary drive over ice-covered roads!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
There is no better way to wake up a 4 year old (or a 36 year old, for that matter), than to peel back the curtains to reveal snow. Idyllic Northamptonshire was a magical backdrop for our snowy adventures, and it was even better to catch up with Steve's old flatmates from his Oxford days.
Our old friends Mel, Tom and Lewis kindly put us up for a long weekend, and their house was the perfect venue for being snowed in for a couple of days.
London
We arrived in London to be greeted with Xmas lights and festive spirit everywhere - it's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas. What a wonderful time of year to catch up with old friends and visit familiar sites.

Tokyo time
During our second week in Tokyo, we caught up with Pete and Lucy. It was great to celebrate Steve's Birthday with them, hang out and pet cute hedgehogs (they've thought of everything in Japan!)
