We took the chance to leave the kids with their grandma and have another day in the countryside, this time in Wales...

Dublin
We took a short break to head over to Dublin, where we stayed with our old neighbours Carol and Ross, and their lovely kids. It was great to catch up after so many years, and for the kids to meet each other finally. And even though it was absolutely freezing we managed to get out into the countryside for some nice walks.
Liverpool
We spent the Christmas and New Year period with Glo's mum, catching up with family and eating loads ;)
Hiking in the Lake District
We spent the last day of 2017 taking a steep but rewarding hike up a hill in Grasmere, in the Lake District National Park, which made for a lovely day out from Liverpool. Happy new year!
